called the house of our seventh childhood in Zulu "Isikala sonke dlala -
The place where we play" and is built as high as we could get it.
Made from wood cut & sawn on the
farm The Treehouse has an open air shower, fire place, bedroom with a double bed
with electric blanket for winter. Believe it or not we have even fitted a
jacuzzi.
The balcony of the
treehouse looks out onto a spectacular view of
the Drakensberg directly onto Giants Castle. Deep within the boughs of the tree there is a deck fitted with
a double hammock. A shady secluded spot ideal to read, relax, and while away the
hours in talk, assisted by nourishing little slurps of your favourite beverage.
Even the sunken Jacuzzi up in the tree has a view of Giants Castle. Furniture is hand hade from
local woods embellished by traditional beadwork.
Your privacy can only be
disturbed by the munching of grass by the occasional cow or horse in the field
below.
Tree houses inspire dreams, and represent freedom from adulthood, from duties and responsibilities from an earthbound perspective. If we can’t fly with birds we can at least nest with them.
