You don't need to book your accommodation before hand that is if you are not travelling in December. Get a guide book and one or two B&B publications. You do need to book specific places that you have seen and like or accommodation in game parks. Also book your first night in SA. You will find that its nice to be flexible and hear about things once you are here and if everything is prebooked you cant change to much.
