The Fantasy treehouse is made of wood cut from some gigantic plains which were
growing at the Bishop's house in Pietermaritzburg. It is built into a cluster of
trees on three levels, below is a small lounge with a fireplace looking out over farmlands
with a view of Giants Castle in the Central Drakensberg. A wood stove
provides central heating all the way through the little wooden house.
This treehouse is in itself a work of art with its own world of fantasy. The intricate
wooden hinges, the hand sculptured features and wacky design will astound you.
The interior is decorated with original prints, hand made furniture and luxury finishing.
The ground floor with its wood burning stove houses the
lounge. Two sit hammocks
in front of the fire give long conversations and a bottle of wine a whole new
meaning.
The first floor is occupied by a
children's bedroom
with a balcony. Its bathroom has a toilet & pottery hand basin. The bed has an electric
blanket for those colder winter nights. There are
coffee and tea making facilities on that level too.
The top level provides
the main bedroom, high up with a stunning view of the Drakensberg Mountains onto
Giants Castle. A spectacularly situated shower with views of the rolling
hills and mountains are a special feature of this fantasy world.
The final feature of the Fantatasy House is the "Spa in the Sky". A jacuzzi spa is built high into the top of a free standing turret which is connected to the fantasy house via a wooden walkway. The Jacuzzi spa is completely private for your exclusive use & has a view of Giants Castle. Candles and bubble bath are provided. Beneath the jacuzzi is a small games room with a hand crafted chess set.
