Bruce Attwood, born Natal in the country then moved to Johannesburg where he
had is own business as a printer. Late in life he has found his true love in
working with wood. He has made all the furniture for Sycamore Avenue and other guest
houses and lodges in South Africa. He has also made sculpture from wood that is loved by the art
world. Bruce is the main cook at the guest house.
Gloria Attwood, born in the city of Johannesburg, was a successful business women in the
city for many years. She moved to the country in search of a slower and different life style.
Nowadays she wakes up in the morning with sunshine on her face and the birds
singing in the garden.
Bruce and Gloria started Sycamore Avenue in 2000 had have had a lot of fun doing it. The two even recently got married in their golden years.
